I took off my Halloween costume, washed the paint off my face, put on my pajamas, brushed my teeth, and went to bed. I was almost asleep when I heard the sound of breaking glass that sounded like it was coming from downstairs. It scared me half to death! Crash! I sat straight up and launched myself over to my door and locked it. Then I opened up my closet and pressed a hidden button that I had kept a secret ever since we moved into this house. That button is the only reason why I asked my mom if I could have the smallest room in the house. My mom agreed right away, little did she know I had found that button when we were looking at the house.
When I pressed the button nothing happened and then I remembered
that I found a paper next to it the day we were moving in at it said to
activate the button you have to press it two times then push and hold for
3 seconds. So that’s what I did and after I finished holding it for 3 seconds
the wall flew into motion. The wall all my clothes were hung on slid
forward, to the side, then back and disappeared into blackness. Then out
slid a wall with a door. It had a keyhole and a pin pad. I looked around to
see where I could find some answers for the door and then a paper came
fluttering down with the key tapped to it and the pin code. It said,
“Only use this room in emergencies, this is the key and the pin code is
425998. DON’T LOSE THIS PAPER! If you do there will be major
consequences.”

big as you can imagine. There were tons of computers that were showing
security camera footage from everywhere in the house. I looked at the
computer that was showing the kitchen and sure enough, there someone
was. Standing in my kitchen trying to clean up the broken vase they had
tipped over. I didn’t recognize them and they were wearing all black.
Luckily I was home alone so I didn’t have to worry about my family.
Then the person looked directly up at the security camera. It
took a knife out of it’s belt and held it up as to threaten me and
then headed towards the stairs…

computer that was showing the kitchen and sure enough, there someone

Hi Katie! I really like how much detail you put in to your story! One thing you could probably add is explaining why your family was gone and why you were the only one there.
