I was stuck at home all by myself. It was Halloween night, but Mom had said
that I was too old for trick-or-treating. My mom was with my little brother
Michael was trick-or-treating. My dad was with his friends at a Halloween
party. My older brother Matt was at a friends house watching a scary movie.
My twin brother Maddox was at a friends house playing fugitive. So I was
home alone. I looked at my phone. I had a text from my best friend, Jenna.
It said, "Wish your mom would have let you come Megan! You're miss'n out!"
And it had a billion sad face emojis and a selfie of Jenna and all of my other
friends at a house holding king sized candy bars. It had already been an hour
and I was just lying on my bed doing nothing. I wish I was out there with them!
I thought. Then I had an idea.I texted Jenna.
Megan: hey were you
Jenna: Baker Street. Why???
Megan: meet me on maple st
Jenna: What? Why?
Megan: im really bored.......want to do something
Jenna: If I don't get in trouble with your mom. :)
Megan: you won't
Jenna: Fine. When?
Megan: now
As you can see she really likes trying to type full sentences and loves
grammar. I don't. I shut off my phone, got off my bed, and went to go put
on my tennis shoes. I left the house and headed towards Maple Street.
Just as I got to Maple Street I saw my mom and my little brother Michael
walking right towards me. Uh-o I thought. I dove into the rose bush right
before they looked my way. Right when they turned the corner I tried to
get out of the rose bush but I was stuck. Every time I moved I got scratches
all over myself. Just then, Jenna and all of my other friends came around
the corner. "Where's Megan?" said Jenna. "Over here!" I yelled. They all
came over and helped me out of the bush. I explained what had happened.
"We just passed your mom," said Jenna. "She said she was going home
with Michael." "Crap!" I said. I started running home. I knew a short cut
home, that was a lot more shorter than the way my mom always took. I ran
up the path and through the front door. I checked my pocket for my phone.
It wasn't there. "Ah frick." I ran back to Maple street. I saw my phone in the
rosebush were I jumped in. I picked it up and sprinted home. About halfway
there I tripped and fell. I scraped my knee really bad and twisted my ankle.
I ran/limped the rest of the way home. When I got inside my mom was in the kitchen.
Busted.

I really liked how Megan gets stuck in a rosebush and gets busted, this will really teach people to do what their told, unless the person is telling you to do something that bad. Something to improve on is to check your spelling for Megan wrote "were you" instead of where are you. But I really liked your story and how awesome it is.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely something that would happen to me if I tried to go sneak out with my friend on Halloween! I really like how you put that together.
