10 Things to Know About Honors LA

  • Obviously, Don’t Procrastinate!
Procrastinating is the worst thing you could do,
not just in an honors class but in any class. It just makes the
class way more stressful, and you will have such a better time if
you don’t procrastinate.
  • Read!
Reading is fun! And if you want to make it into the iRead program
then you must constantly be reading. (It’s a great alternative to being
on your smartphone all the time.)
  • Study!
Study for tests! Especially the RISE testing because then you don’t
have to doubt yourself on all of the questions.
  • Ask Questions!
Mrs. Robins is always willing to answer your questions! Don’t be
afraid to ask questions because if you don’t, then you won’t learn anything.
  • Read the Blog!
Reading the blog every week will keep you caught up on what is
happening in class, and know what will be happening through the week.
  • Don’t Take Everything That Mrs. Robins Says Seriously!
Mrs. Robins loves to joke around and be fun with the class. Don’t take
everything she says seriously because she likes to joke.
  • Work Hard!
Working hard will boost your grade and boost your confidence in the class.
It’s a win-win!
  • Pay Attention!
Don’t be daydreaming during class because you will most likely miss
something important that you need to know. Why risk it?
  • Do Your Writing Contests Right Away!
Procrastinating on your writing contests will just make you more likely to forget
about them. You have a whole month to accidentally forget and it’s just a good idea
to do it at the beginning of the month.
  • Have Fun!

Although it is an honors class, don’t sweat it! Mrs. Robins is such a great teacher
and you will have a great time in this class!
