TOP TEN TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL YEAR

#1. TURN WORK IN ON TIME

This is very important in Language Arts if you don’t want your grade to suffer, and you to suffer from the wrath of your parents.

#2. DON’T PROCRASTINATE

Don’t start playing video games or watching tv or doing whatever you people do, UNLESS you have all of you homework done.

#3. READ

If you read at least 30 minutes a day for Language Arts you will be on top of you reading, its not that hard, so just do it.

#4 HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE

Even just having a good attitude and changing the way you look at things you can feel better about the mountain of homework you have.

#5 NO TALKING

Don’t talk in class, cause you don’t want to get in trouble, and especially don’t talk while the teacher is talking, and not just in Language Arts, in all your classes.

#6 DON’T BE LATE

If you are late to class, you will get a tardy, and you will miss out on the things that are happening in class, and then you won’t know what to do.

#7 FOLLOW DIRECTIONS

If you follow the directions and listen to Mrs. Robins during class, things will go smoothly, but if you don’t and have no idea what to do, how will you do your assignments. Sometimes you may think you know what to do, and then you do it wrong!

#8 BE CREATIVE

Don’t leave those impressions, or stories in your head to waste! GET WRITING! Share you ideas from writing, and talking will others.

#9 ASK QUESTIONS

If you have a question, don’t be afraid to ask it, and chances are other kids are thinking the same thing! So, just go for it! Also, when you ask questions you learn more about the topic and can expand on it, get smarter, and go for a great discussion.

#10 HAVE FUN

Just let your imagination run free and have fun! Honors Language Arts is a great learning experience and expand your knowledge on the topic!
