10 Things You Need To Know For Honors Language Arts


1. Don't procrastinate! If you procrastinate with your blog posts and writing contests, you will get so behind and be stressed out!

2. Be sure to pay attention to instructions! If you don't listen, you will get behind and will be stressed. Some assignments are confusing, so be sure to listen.
3. Always do extra credit assignments! You may think you don't need any extra credit, but always do it just in case! You will be happy you did when you get behind on things, and your grade goes down. The teachers don't give extra credit very often, so do it every time you have the chance.

4. Be sure to turn things in on time! If they are late or uncompleted still turn them in and get at least some credit.

5. Ready? Set? Read! You have to read a lot in Language Arts. If you want to make it into the I-Read club you have to read the equivalent of 36 books in the entire school year!

6. Have fun! If you try to make the best of all the work, you will be fine.

7. Be prepared to wright in many different ways! In Language Arts you have to wright informational essays, creative stories, poetry, and a lot more ways.

8. Be nice to your teacher! If you get on the teachers good side, they won't seem as scary, and will be nicer to you if you are nice to them.

9. Study! Always, always, always know what the test is about before you take it. It will be a lot easier if you study vocabulary words and

10. Always check the Blog! When you check the blog at the beginning of each week, you will be prepared and know what to expect in class.
