10 tips for little human beings that will be in LA Honors class.

Top Ten Things That Will Lead You To Success in Mrs. Robins Honors Class

#1. DO NOT PROCRASTINATE !!!
The first and most helpful tip that you will need to follow in order to succeed in an honors class is to
turn in your stuff ON TIME and do NOT procrastinate. This is a very, very bad thing. I have procrastinate
d a few times and it brought my grade really low. I’m telling you, whatever you do in this class promise
you will not procrastinate for your own and your grades good.

#2. Check Power School!!!😁
Sometimes, teachers make a mistake or do not put in grades correctly. I mean, teachers are not perfect
or robots that have all the time to check in late work, they also have a family and many other things
going on in their lives too. Checking Power School is great because you can see your grades and know
what you are missing in class. It could really help you in this class since there are so many things you
will have to do in an honors class.

#3. Keep Your Grade Up!!!
All you have to do to be in honors is to keep your grade up and try your hardest. Actually, no, I lied.
There are so many things you have to do in order to stay in an honors class and keeping your grade up
is just one of them. You can keep your grade up by not turning in work late and doing extra credit like
writing contests.

#4. READ, READ, READ!!!
You should always read at home for at least 30 minutes each day. This can help you finish more books
and success into getting into an awesome party at the end of the year when you read 40 books. You
can also go into the beehive party, but that is another story. Anyways, reading is going to be part of your
life from now on, so I suggest you spend more time reading then on electronics and phones. Also, there
are plenty of other parties when you read. For example, when you read Wednesday Wars, you get to
eat cream puffs and if you read A Christmas Carol, you get an awesome hot chocolate with
marshmallows, whipped cream, candy canes, etc.

#5. Do Your Writing Contests!!!
Writing contests are a great part of your grade and if you don’t do one, then let us just say your grade
goes Down. Writing contests can also count as extra credit and really help you if you want to boost your
grade up. Most importantly, you have to finish the writing contests every month and way before it is
actually due. That way, you do not have to stress or worry about it in the middle of the month when you
get a bunch of more assignments you have to complete.

#6. Don’t Be Shy!!!
If you are a shy, human bean (yes a little bean not being), like I was, it is going to be tough for you. If you
have a question, always raise your hand and ask the people around you or the teacher if necessary. Let
your voice be heard! If you have an idea or something you want to suggest, then share it with the student
s or class if necessary. An honors class will want the kids to socialize and share brilliant ideas like all the
other classes. You got in because you have a brilliant mind, skills, ideas, questions, and thoughts. Do Not
Be Afraid to Share anything in the class that sticks to the subject.

#7. Be Organized!!!
This year, I have been everything but organized. In the past, this lead me to the tremendously hard path
with thorns and rocks in my way to success. Being organized is way better than having a bunch of
assignments lost and having to do them again or forgetting to turn things in. I’m telling you, this could
really help you improve in your life and an honors class.

#8. BE CREATIVE!!!😁😁
Let’s be real for a moment, we all know why we are here in this super amazing classroom with a super
amazing teacher. Unfortunately, Mrs. Robins might not be this honors language arts class teacher,
however, you will experience many great adventures in this honors class. If you really want to do your
best and enjoy an honors class, be creative when you are given assignments like these blog posts and
writing contests. The teacher will be really pleased and you can show just how brilliant you really are.

#9. HAVE FUN!!!😙😙🍪
As much as you will have to do a lot of work and have tons of assignments, you will also have plenty of
fun and enjoy being in an honors class. If you behave good and do not talk while your teacher is talking,
you will save both your teacher and your classmates a headache. I swear, if you participate in all the fun
things in the honors class like going to a writing workshop, you will have a blast and really have a
connection between having fun and loving writing and reading in this honors class.

#10. Please Try To Get Along With Everyone!!!😄😄

This year hasn’t gone all that great in an honors class, especially because we weren’t getting along well.
Promise me for your own sake and the sake of others (including your teacher) that you will try to get
along with everyone and try not to have a chatty table that makes it impossible for your classmates to
listen to your teacher, for you shall suffer the great consequences (A.K.A. waiting until it is quiet or
making the teacher to shame you(not really, just telling your group to be quiet and possibly not trusting
you to be with the same chatty people that you can certainly not resist talking with)).
