10 tips to become a awesome student
1. Don't Procrastinate!!!
I know that everyone is saying this and it’s true! I wish I would have listened to this, but I didn't…..and it
sucked!!!!!!! So I hope you’ll listen to me.You seriously just need to not procrastinate. JUST DON'T DO IT.
Decide right now that your NOT going to do it.

2.Be Respectful
First off, you always need to be respectful to everyone, especially teachers. Being respectful can get you
very far in class, and everywhere else.

3. Get stuff turned in ON TIME
When you turn stuff in late you will most likely not get as good as a score as if you did turn it in on time.
Lots of teachers won’t let you turn it in late. But they are just trying to set you up for the future. Cause in
the future they won’t let it slide. They are strict and you could possibly lose your job for not doing stuff
that they told you to do.

4. LISTEN!!
When you don’t listen it gets you in a whole lot of trouble. And you don’t want to be in trouble with any
teacher. It’s not good for you or the teacher. Then the teacher has to say it over and over again and I bet
that gets really frustrating. Just listen the first time.

5. Always do the extra credit
I wish I did all of the extra credits, and it would have relieved a lot of stress. When you do the extra
credits you don’t have to worry so much about a different assignment you didn’t do so well on. Even if all
of your assignments are A’s still do it. Because you never know if you could get a bad grade on the another assignment.

6. Have Fun!
Guys, even language arts can be fun! I had such a blast this year in language arts and I hope you do
too!
too!
7. Be a team player!
You will be working in teams a lot, so you need to know how to work well as a team. You will have to
work with people you don’t want to work with….but that’s OK. Suck it up, life isn’t fair. You need to be
able to work with people your whole life. So, just start now. It will make things a lot easier.

8. Always do your best
No teacher is going to get mad at you for trying your best. They only get mad when you’re not trying.
Just try! It’s better for you, your teacher, and your whole class.

9. Read
The iRead party is so fun! It is also such a great achievement! And I encourage you to try to get in.
Your grades will drop tremendously if you don’t read. I did this and my grade dropped…..like a lot. I had
to read non-stop and I was missing out on a bunch of stuff. Continually read and get ahead.

10. Be Kind
Just be kind. It makes the classroom a safe, happy place to be. Be kind to all of your classmates and well EVERYONE. When people aren’t kind it slows down the whole class in learning and makes
everyone uncomfortable. And I hate to break it to you, but making fun of someone IS NOT FUNNY.
Instead lift people up and be nice.
Hopefully these tips will help you succeed in honors language arts and everywhere else!!!
