[Alarm goes off.]

[2 minutes pass by still in bed] RRRRREEEEEEEEEE Ok time to get ready for school.

Ah this shower feels nice I might even go back to bed……….

Shoot it’s already been 20 minutes EH just 5 more minutes….

A Day in the Life of Jonathan Fife (A comedy made up by the actors on the spot)

How it works:

The actors are given a sentence to start the show. They build the entire show based on that sentence. It all is recorded and then made into script, where the actors redo it and clean up their act.  This first part is a draft, so there are a few mistakes.

Setting: Outside during lunch on the benches in the grass.

Beginning sentence, Kyla says: Wow Jonathan! You really are the king of puns!

Kyla: Wow Jonathan! You really are the king of puns!

Harrison: yo-

James: you really are!

Harrison: yeah e-

James: yeah even my dad isn't this bad

Harrison: no wa-

Jonathan: no way James. i'm sure there are plenty dads out there who are even better.

Harrison: BET-

Kyla: BETTER?!? You think it's something to be good at. No! It's more like a curse for those few unlucky people and the people around them.

Kyla falls through the old rotting stage. looks like ground opened beneath her.

James: now th-

Harrison: Now that's a curse. Same thing happened yesterday!

When being rewritten editors decide to let all sentences be finished instead of interrupted. Also decide to introduce Mr. James, and leave in the fall. Give characters more personality. Harrison wears black hood that is five sizes to big.

Kyla: Wow Jonny! Just wow! You really ARE the king of puns.

Harrison: Yeah. You are like the ruler of the entire pun world.

Jonathan: If I was the ruler, do you think I could MEASURE up to the world's standards?

Harrison: Nooooo! You didn't let me finish. You would be all like "Bow before me Jedi pun! Uh... I mean scum." Whoops. Sorry. I didn't mean to say that. You know what, never mind.

James: Yeah. I know right? You really would be that kind of ruler Jonny.

Harrison: Yeah even my grandpa isn't as bad as you with puns.

James: Yeah. Even my DAD isn't that bad.

Harrison: No way. Your dad is even worse!

Jonathan: No way guys. Your father isn't to dad. I mean, bad. I'm sure there are plenty of dads, including yours, who are even better than me.

MR. JAMES COMES OUT AND HEADS TOWARDS GROUP

Harrison sees Kyla right before her reaction to Jonathan's words.

Harrison: Uh-oh.

Kyla: BETTER!?!? Do you think it's something to be good at!?!? NO!!! It's more like a curse to those unlucky few with that terror of a gift, and EVERYONE around them!!!

Mr. James sits down on bench next to Kyla as she angrily plops back down. Suddenly the stage beneath the two opens up, and they both fall down. Mr. James spills lunch all over Kyla as they fall.

Harrison: Ha-Ha! Now that is a curse. In fact, same thing happened yesterday! But Mr. James is a good touch. Maybe more soup next time.

Kyla screams in pain. She might not be able to handle the pain of a face being transmogrified because that is how bad the scream is.

Harrison walks away with his super over sized black hood pulled over his head, lightning crackling between his fingers.

Camera shows Kyla laying on her back with burning hot tomato soup all over her face. Ends with her buying a plastic black mask from wall-mart and putting it on to cover her burnt face. She also buys a red stick.

📺My Life as a TV Show: The Other Side! 📺

If my life were a TV Show, it would be called The Other Side. It would be a cartoon superhero show where during the day I live my normal life but at night I'm a superhero called Superhero Man! This is what an episode would look like.



Scene One: Harrison's house
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
(Slams alarm clock off) Harrison:"I'm up!"
(Checks time) Harrison:"Ugh, it's already 6:30? I'm going to be late!"
(Walks into kitchen) Harrison:"Dang, no Froot Loops left! That's the fifth time this week I have to have Mini Wheats!"
(Dad comes in) Dad:"You better hurry! The bus is going to be here in 5 minutes!"
(Fast-motion montage of getting ready)
(Gets outside, bus pulls away) Harrison:"Wait up!"
Harrison chases down the bus and finally catches it.


Scene Two: Lava Ridge Intermediate School
Science Class
Mrs. Lund: "Magnets with opposite poles facing attract, and magnets with like poles facing repel."
(Half the class is asleep)
(Teacher whacks a desk with yardstick) Mrs. Lund: PAY ATTENTION!!!
Everyone sits up straight and apologizes.
Lunch
Harrison: "Ugh, orange chicken again? I should have brought a home lunch."
James: "I got a Rice Krispy Treat in my lunch."
Harrison: "Can I have it?"
James: "No Way!"
(Lunch Bell Rings)

Scene 3: Harrison's house, 9:30
Mom: "Time for bed!"
(Harrison climbs into bed)
Harrison almost falls asleep when
WEOOO WEOOO WEOOO
Harrison: "That's the superhero alarm!"
(transforms into Superhero Man)
Superhero Man: "There's someone robbing the bank!"
(Flies to bank)
Superhero Man: " Stop right there!" Superhero Man realizes it's Falseman.
Falseman: "Whatta you doin here?!"
Superhero Man: "I'm here to stop you!"
(fast-motion fight scene)
Cops show up
Superhero Man: "Glad I could help!"

The Simply Boring Life of Emily

     Scene 1:  Emily wakes up with a groan by her sisters multiple very annoying alarms (that don't even wake her up) that go off every five minutes. Just then her mom walks into their (very) messy room, making her way over to our bunk bed to wake them up even though Emily's already up, and she knows it's useless trying to wake Sierra up.

     "Morning girls time to get up and ready for school" and with that she leaves just as quickly as she came. (Morning meaning 5 am)

     Getting out and nearly falling off from the top of the bunk Emily gets out of bed and grabs whatever clothes that were clean and thrown onto her chair from yesterday. Bringing them with her to their hallway bathroom where she changed and brushed and flossed her teeth. (Seeing as no one in her family rarely ever eats breakfast anyways. Even though it is the most important meal of the day)

     Heading to her living room she says her good morning to her mom who's doing school work for her students or something else like that on her lap top. Her mom just sits their not seeming to hear her as Emily goes and grabs her back pack checking the time. 5:15 the glowing clock read. "Great, another two hours before I even need to head to school" she though, sighing.

     Practically collapsing on her hallway floor Emily grabs the book she was currently reading from out of her backpack which she's had for like the last week and was honestly probably the most confusing book she had ever read. Flipping open to her bookmark and read, doing that for about half an hour before giving up on ever being to understand any of it and did whatever homework she hadn't done yet or just sat there for the next hour and a half. Waiting tiredly for her sister to finally get up and out of bed so their dad could finally take them to school.

     Scene 2: Arriving at school at 7:12 Emily jumped out of her dads jeep nearly face planting as she almost hit her sister in the face with the cars door as her older sister got out of the car so she could drive the rest of the way. Making her way into the school she once again collapsed onto the ground next to wall where she read and waited for her friends to show up. 

     Five minutes or so later one of her best friends show up from just getting off the bus and plopped next to her telling her what she had done that morning or something that wouldn't make sense to anybody else. Not even three minutes after that Emily's other friend showed up sitting next to her as her other friend, friends showed up too. (Who Emily was pretty sure didn't like her or any of her other friends) Leaving Emily alone with her other friend who mostly talked about school work and such they had to do that day or week.

     After the bell rang Emily  made her way to her advisory class where she just read or watched the rest of her ( if she had anything to say about it) noisy class. (Though probably not as loud as her last period) After that she headed to 1st period: math. Which Emily found quite easy, and just boring sometimes. Then 2nd period where at times she regretted ever taking signing up for the class,(since she did  not like being in front of people  at all) drama. After that was Language Arts which was awesome, then Science which she liked too, and after that was lunch.  Which lead to FACS and finally art that completed her very long day at school.

     Scene 3: After school she either had a bus load of things to do or nothing at all. Mostly lots of things to do. Basically the rest of her day was just boring where she didn't really seem to do much except get dragged along to things and doing homework.

Mornings Stink!

Scene 1

Mornings

Mom: Wake up Andelyn! It's time to get ready for school.

(Andelyn moans)

Andelyn: I don't want to wake up yet, just let me sleep for a bit longer. Pleeeeeease?

Mom: No. If you don't wake up you won’t be ready in time for the bus then I will have to take you to school and I have to get the rest of the kids ready for school.                                                        

(Andelyn gets up and walks up the stairs, just to go plop back on to another bed upstairs. She mutters under her breath and drops her face into the cushions)

Andelyn: OWWWW! My nose!

Cue audience laughter

Mom: If you would've gotten up when I told you to that wouldn't have happened. Now get up and get ready while I make you your lunch and breakfast.

Andelyn: Fine.

(Andelyn decides to get ready for school.)

Mom: Come in for breakfast.

Andelyn: K just a sec.

Mom: No, you’re  going to miss the bus. You don't even have your hair done yet.

Andelyn: K coming.

(Andelyn eats her breakfast, and gets her hair done. Mom hands Andelyn her lunchbox as she hurries out the door to catch the bus.)

Andelyn: Phew! I made it!

Cue cheesy party music

(While music is playing Andelyn does her little happy dance.)

Andee: What are you doing?

(Andee smirks at her awkward dancing)

Andelyn: Uhhhhh... nothing.

(The awkward silence continues between Andee and Andelyn all the way to school.)

Scene 2

School

(Andelyn and Andee arrive at school.)

Andee: Andelyn, but l mean like really what were you doing?

Andelyn: Nothing, I told you.

(Andee gives Andelyn a look.)

Andelyn: Fine! I was dancing.

(Andee chuckles)

Andelyn: There are you happy now?

Andee: yep.

Bell rings

Andelyn: K see ya Andee...

Andee: See ya.

(Girls walk away from each other and Andee mimics Andelyn’s dance moves. Andelyn mutters underneath her breath as she walks away. Andelyn thinks to herself.)

Andelyn: I guess I better work on my dance moves!!

(Laughs under her breath)

What’s for dinner?

Mom: Do you guys want to go to dinner?

All kids: Yes!

Ady: Can we go to wendy's?

Emma: No I want little caesars!

Korver: No Mcdonalds!

Stockton: jimmy johns!

Sadie: panda express!

Mom: No kids, how about cafe rio?

Ady: Sure that sounds great!

Stockton: I don’t like cafe rio mom.

Mom: last time you liked it.

Stockton: still i don’t like it.

Mom: Go get ready.

(Everyone goes and gets ready to leave.)

Dad: Girls go  turn all of the lights off downstairs. (Sadie goes and turns them off.)

Mom: Ady go put on Korver’s shoes.

Dad: Kids get in the car. (he walks away and comes back) Why aren't any of you in the car?

All kids: FINE! (All the kids get in the car except stockton)

Stockton: I need to get something. ( mom and dad get in the car. Stockton runs out the door and forgets to shut the door. )

Dad: STOCKTON! Go and shut the door.

Stockton: OK fine! (he runs to shut the door and gets in the car.)

Scene 2

(We are in the car driving to cafe rio.)

Emma: Korver stop pulling my hair. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!

Ady: Emma stop crying! (she keeps on crying.)

(Sadie and stockton sit in the back of the car.)

Sadie: Give me my chapstick back Stockton. (she yells)

Mom: Stockton give it back to her.

(Stockton throughs it to the front of the car.)

Scene 3

(We have now made it to cafe rio.)

Mom: Ady what do you want to eat?

Ady: I want to have the burrito.

Mom: Ok. Stockton what do you want?

Stockton: I want the pork tostada

Mom: well you and Ady will have to decide.

Ady: I want the burrito

Stockton: tostada!

Ady: burrito!

Mom: Stockton we are going to go with the burrito today.

Stockton: Noooooooooo!

Mom: Well next time  you can get the tostada.

Stockton: OK. (he says that in a mad tone of voice)

Mom: Emma what do you want to eat?

Emma: I want a quesadilla

Mom: ok I will see if Korver wants the same thing. Korver what do you want?

Korver: I want a quesadilla.

Mom: Ok Korver. Saide do you want some of Adys burrito?

Sadie: Yes.

(We get in line, order our food, pay for it and then sit down to eat.)

Dad: Ady can you get me a knife and a fork?

Ady: Ya sure. ( I give them to my dad and sit down to eat and when we are all done we get in the car to
leave. The car ride home is exactly the same as the car ride there.)

Scene 1

In Alexa’s House on a Monday morning

Alarm goes off singing “Manic Monday”

Alexa groans and pushed her brother back onto his side of the bed. slowly rising into a sitting position,
she grabs her phone off of her nightstand and turns off the alarm, and sees that it is 6:00. She gets out of bed,
somehow managing to stub her toe in the process, and slowly trudges to the bathroom. She looks in the mirror
and sees the snarly, ratted hair that usually greets her in the mornings. She brushes out the snarly mess, and tries
to do her hair in a bun that ends up looking like a demented ponytail. She leaves the bathroom and sees that her
brother is playing fortnite.

“Jake, get ready for school” she says as she walks to the kitchen to make her lunch.

“Hold on, I just want to finish this last match” He says, staring intensely at the screen.

“Okay, just hurry please” she says as she puts a granola bar in her backpack.

She walks back to her room and gets dressed. Then she sits on her bed and starts reading. After she reads a
couple chapters she checks the time, and realizes that it's 7:21. She hurries and stuffs her book in her backpack
and puts it on. As she makes her way to the door she sees that her brother is still on the tv. She rolls her eyes,
and walks out the back door to where her bike is. She puts on her helmet, and gets on her bike, and rides to school.

Scene 2

At School

Bell rings, and the announcements come on

“Just in time” Alexa mumbles under her breath.

She sits down next to her best friend, Lilly. As she's digging through her backpack for her book, Lilly taps her on
the shoulder. She looks up at Lilly, who looks amused.

“Your helmet is still on.” She whispers, trying not laugh.

Alexa starts to turn red from embarrassment, she takes the helmet off and sets it in her lap. After wondering about
what to do with it for awhile, she finally just attaches it to her backpack. She grabs her book and opens it-

The bell rings

“What the heck!” Alexa thinks.

She realizes that it’s a short day.

Scene 3

After School

Alexa opens the back door to her house, and gets a drink of water. She looks at the clock and sees  that it’s 12:00.
She walks into her room and drops her backpack on her bed and starts doing her homework. She thinks to herself,
“I really want to read my book though.” She stares at her backpack, half open at the end of her bed. She decides to
read for a little bit. After what feels like 10 minutes, she grabs her phone and sees that it’s 1:00 already, and she needs
to pick up her brother from school. She starts walking to get her brother when she realizes, her brother was on a
camping trip with her parents, and she was supposed to be staying with Lilly for the next couple of days. When she
gets there she rings the doorbell.

“What took you so long?!” Lilly says, when she opens the door to let me in.

“Sorry, I forgot!” Alexa says apologetically.

Lilly rolls her eyes as she closes the door behind them.

“So what do you want to do?” Lilly says

“I don’t know” Alexa says, shrugging.

Lilly smiles mischievously, “I know what we should do”

Life As It Is

Scene #1
"Gage! It's time to wake up!" My mom yells.
I grumble and fall back to sleep.
My mom sends in our dog, and he starts licking my face. I get up, change and head to the kitchen crossing my fingers that we aren't having oat meal.
I look and see a bowl of oat meal on the table.
"Hurry!" she yells, "It's 6:40! You're going to miss the bus!"
"It doesn't help that we are having oat meal!" I respond.
After I'm done I finish getting ready for school.
Miraculously it is only 6:50 when I'm done getting ready for school.
I walk to the bus stop at 7:00 and still have to wait 10-ish minutes.

Scene #2
I finally walk into school looking for my friends and head to advisory.1st period is Chinese, so I pull out a book and read for the rest of the period.
2nd period is F.A.C.S. which is fun, because we make little pizzas. 3rd period is language arts, so it is the best period(because you read). In 4th period we work on our science projects for like the sixth week. Finally lunch I go sit by my friends and eat lunch. 5th period brings the sound of music, because...well it's band.6th period is the best because Mrs. Warby dislikes handing out home work, so she gives us time to do it in class. When the bell rings I head to the bus to go home (which is very boring unless you have a friend to talk to).

Scene #3
When I get home I sit on the comfy chair and read. My mom finally gets mad at me for reading for so long ( I read for at least 3 hours). After I'm done with my home work I eat dinner, ( left overs are the worst, especially when you've had them for four nights in a row) and get ready for bed and sneak a book into my room. I read until 1:00 and fall asleep. I have a dream that I hack into Fort Nite and shut it down and the next day all the boys are going crazy because they can't play Fort Nite.

-rolls over- UGH!! -Turns off the alarm-. Falls back asleep mom comes in Turns on the lights blink- “So bright!” “Hurry Corielle you're going to be late!  Didn’t your alarm go off?” -no answer then mumbles- Camera fades into breakfast in the bathroom while doing hair. “Mom, (mouth full of food) you do know school starts at 7:45 and it is only 7 I could be in the kitchen eating breakfast like a regular person?”  Mom looks at the clock “Yes honey I am very aware of what time it is the carpool comes at 7:15 so we need to hurry” Mom says while driving the car, “How could you make the carpool wait then I had to come out and tell them to go ahead without you?” car door closes music playing “Only one minute to get to class..”  Corielle mutters

Scene Two

Lunchtime slides down onto the chair. “I told my mom I don’t like yogurt in my lunch!!” I “ I will have it!” some random kid. Everyone laughs camera fades into PE class (last period) “I love soccer but, I hate outside PE” head nodding in agreement. DING DING DING kids rush out of school running to the buses. Cameraman the buses starting. “Why don’t they have air conditioning?” Crackly speaker, “Remember to keep your feet out of the aisle!” The bus slowly comes to a stop Everyone files off the bus Corielle walks into her nice cold house.

Intro: 6:00 A.M Cue Music: (Sound of beeping alarm gradually getting louder for 30 sec.)

Scene #1

~ Lucy yawns and turns off her alarm. ~ "Yes! Today is early out!!" ~ Lucy says quietly as she gets out of bed. She turns on one of
her favorite morning playlists on her Echo Dot. She listens to the music while she does her morning routine. ~

Scene #2   7:00 A.M

~ Lucy is all ready for school with her hair done and her shoes on as she heads downstairs for breakfast. Lucy walks into the
kitchen where she finds her mom preparing her breakfast. ~

Mom: "Good Morning Lu!!!"

Lucy: "Good morning Mom!"

Mom:“Did you sleep well?” Mom says as she spreads the strawberry honey butter on each half of the toasted bagel.

Lucy: "Yeah, how ‘bout you?"

Mom: "Um-hm!" She hums with a mouth full of a bite from the toasted bagel.

Mom: "Here is your bagel with your favorite honey butter flavor! Oh and I took a bite. Sorry I couldn’t resist it."

Lucy: "It's fine, thanks Mom!!"

Mom: "You should probably get going it’s 7:10 and you don’t want to miss the bus!!" Mom says as she hands Lucy her lunch box
and water bottle.

Lucy: "K thanks Mom!" Lucy says as she puts her last handful of raspberries in her mouth.
Mom: “See you after school!" Mom says, giving Lucy a big hug.

Lucy: "Oh don’t forget that I get out of school at 11:45!!" Lucy says as she is walking toward the door.

Scene #3  7:15 A.M

~ Lucy glances at her watch to check the time and it is way past the time that her bus is supposed to come. So she starts
walking  back to her house. Sooner or later she walks into the house and into the kitchen where she finds her mom and Oliver.
(Oliver is Lucy’s little brother who is in 5th grade) ~

Lucy: “Hey Mom, the bus must have come a little earlier than it should have because I was on time to the stop and it never
showed up.” Lucy explains  as she enters the kitchen.

Mom: "Oh that’s ok it happens."
Oliver: "Ha-ha! I'm not surprised." Oliver scoffs. Lucy ignores him.

Lucy: "Yeah… so can you take me to school right now?"

Mom: "Yeah I’ll take you as soon as Oliver finishes his breakfast."

Mom: "Oliver, quickly finish up, because we need to leave a little early so we can get the two of you to school on time," says
Mom to Oliver as he is eating his bagel.

Oliver: "Yessss!! I just remembered that today we have a short day!" He says as he gets off of the bar stool and grabs his
lunch box, stuffs it into his backpack and zooms past Mom and Lucy.

Mom: "He is only willing to go to school when it is an early out," Mom said quietly to Lucy as she and Lucy follow him into the
garage where they all get into the car.

Scene #4  7:30 A.M

~ Mom comes to a stop in front of the school and Lucy un-buckles her seat belt and gathers her things together.

Mom: "Just check with your bus driver to see if the time he comes to pick you up changed," Mom says as Lucy puts her
backpack on and grabs hold of her water bottle. ~

Lucy: "Ok thanks for the ride Mom!! See ya Oliver! Bye Mom!"

Oliver & Mom: "Bye Lucy, love you!!"

~ Lucy opens the school door and walks in. She finds her friends and starts chatting with them until the bell rings and
everyone departs into their own classrooms. ~
