What I Need To Stop Doing

New Years is a great way to start fresh with a new beginning. There are tons of things I should stop doing that would help me in school and being a better person.  The one thing I know I NEED to stop doing is second-guessing myself all the time. Whenever I do something I always have these thoughts going on inside my head saying that I'm not doing something right or I'm going to get it wrong so end up changing my mind and doing it over. Sometimes it helps me because it really makes me think about what I'm doing and sometimes I find mistakes. Second-guessing myself also makes me hold back from gaining the courage to do something. Like for example the other night I was baking a cake, I mean how complicated could that when your reading directions from a box? Anyways I second-guessed myself a lot while doing it and it was making me think I was doing something wrong. So in the long run, second-guessing myself made me miss out on things and get things wrong too. Especially when I'm doing something right and then I second-guess my self and end up getting whatever I'm doing wrong. So I NEED to STOP second-guessing myself!

  1. This was very well written. There was one word you left out in one of the sentence. Good luck with the resolution!

  2. Ha! I've struggled with this myself: here's my sage advice. Think it out and then make a decision! Expect mistakes along the way (and more bad cooking experiences...speaking from personal experience) but it's part of the journey:) As you revise, I'd like to hear how you'll stop second-guessing yourself. Go with your gut, you've got good instinct, a level head and a big heart. Go forward girl!

  3. Great job!! I really liked how you emphasized on some of the words, it showed me that you really want to accomplish your new year resolution. One thing that I would fix is to not say second guessing to many times. Keep up the great work!!
