#New year, New me
Every year I make a new year's resolution, and most years after the first week, I
already brake them, but this year i’m going to accomplish my goals. One of my new
year revolution is to stop worrying about something that is going to happen in a long
time, or what happened in the past. Enjoy life right now, not tomorrow, not yesterday,
but right now. I'm not saying it's not important to have a plan for your life, and think
about your future, but don't obsess about it. I tend to always worry about my future.
I also hate myself for mistakes I've made in the past, or something I wish I could
change. Something very common that people say is ,"the past is the past”, but it's
true, the past is just the past, so beating myself up for it would be nonsense. The
same with the future, sure i'm going to worry about the near future, however worrying
about college when I still have many years to go is not cool. In conclusion, in 2019, I
will stop worrying about the far future, and the past and focus on the present.

Wow, great job Anely! I really liked how you said, "The past is the past", because everyone makes mistakes, and you should learn from them, then live the present. One thing you could maybe work on, is adding some more figurative language. All in all though, it was amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent post Anely. It's taken me a long time to learn this valuable lesson. It's important to live in the present (because it's a gift--get it?) and not worry about the past (you can't fix it) and not worry about the future (nothing you can do yet). This is a healthy way to live and I'm crazy impressed you are already aware. Good work! Thanks for your post.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog post! I loved this, it was written very well. I'm not sure what you could do for next time but maybe you could try descripting a bit more.
