Three tips that I learned from the seventh graders were first, do not procrastinate! I can tell this is the biggest one. I now know that procrastination only leads to late and sloppy work. Plus, my grades will drop. When my grades drop I get stressed and anxious. I hate getting stressed about school. I like to have fun at school. The second thing I learned is do not play games on the Chromebooks. Though it is fun I know not to, I got many warnings about this and they said that she gets really mad and hates it. The third thing I learned was read a lot! Even though I like reading I am going to have to step it up this year. I know that we have to read lots of books so I am going to read like I have never before. Those are some of things I learned from the wonderful 8th graders.
I have been writing all through my elementary years and lava ridge years. Even though I am not a big writer I like to write stories. I remember when I was in I think 3rd grade, me and a couple of friends wrote a series of books called The Ninja, The Ninja 2, and The Ninja 3. We showed our teacher and she thought they were so "cute". My mom always got me hard covered white books so I could make my own book. It was so fun and I still enjoy it today. In my perspective of writing it has its ups and downs, but I can tell this year is going to be a great year for writing.
Tavin, you nailed it, the ups and downs of writing will come, but you focus on skill-building and remember to have fun! Your Ninja books made smile and makes me think that you know how to trudge through the down times and still make your writing grow. By the way, right again, don't procrastinate, school is no fun when you're stressed because work is late.
I agree with you when you said that writing has its ups and downs, and I thought it was funny how you put quotation marks around cute.
ReplyDeleteI love your story about how you got into writing! Next time maybe number the 3 things you learned. Keep up the good work Tavin! :)
