As I was reading the tips from the seventh graders last year, there were three that stood out as my favorite! Number one: Read more books! I love to read but find I don’t have enough time to do it as much as I’d like. This year, I will make sure reading is a part of my daily schedule. I will set aside a specific time every day for nothing but reading! Number two: Don’t procrastinate. I saw this tip in several pieces of advice, so I know the former seventh graders weren’t kidding! I‘m not usually much of a procrastinator, but this year I will make it even more of a priority to get my work done as quickly as possible! If I do my work early, I’ll have more time to focus on the fun stuff! Number three: Have Fun! This piece of advice is easy! I’ve already had such a good time in this class! I often get really stressed out and need to learn to relax. I want to make having fun part of the process!

I started to love writing in third grade. We were required to write and illustrate our own poetry book that year. The poem I remember most was an ode to my collection of shoes. In fourth grade, I wrote a fictional book about friends who became famous on a trip to Disneyland. To me, the thought of painting a picture in someone's mind is one of the best parts of writing. Although I love creative writing, argumentative writing is probably my favorite style. I like to look at both sides of a situation and compare the pros and cons of each. I am definitely not the best writer, but I am delighted to learn and grow as an author.

  1. Your paragraphs are real chunky which is good because it mean you can write really good. So I can't say much that is haw good it is.

  3. Wow Piper! I love this and the amazing spelling which made it more interesting! Something that I think would spice up your writing is if you add more describing words but that's it! Keep up the gooood work!
