First post of the year

Reading last year’s honors students blog posts was a really funny experience.
They offered tons of great advice, but the top three were don’t procrastinate, read, and
don’t play games on the chromebooks. I selected these three pieces of advice because
they were the most common things last years 7th graders said. These will help me
become a better student because in elementary school I would put off work like crazy.
But by following their advice I can have more time to do things I like. I love reading and it
is one of my strongest subjects in school. Last year honestly I played games in advisory
because I was bored. But now I won’t do that.

Writing has impacted my life so much. The first teacher that made me like writing was my 5th
grade teacher Mr. D. He introduced the writing SAGE to me like no other teacher had before.
He made it a boot camp where we worked on writing and SAGE was the enemy, which is how
most students actually feel. It made me enjoy writing like I never had before. This is how writing
has impacted my life.

  2. Nice! I loved your reference to 5th grade.(BEAT THE SAGE!) You explained how you started to like writing clearly. I would have added a little bit about each thing you learned from last year's 7th graders. Fantastic job!

I'm glad you'll read in advisory, it'll never be the same:)

to make this year the best year yet...your boredom it will kill!
