Top 3 Best Tips
While looking through last year’s 7th grade blogs I saw lots of really helpful tips, but
there were 3 tips that called out to me the most. The first tip that I like is the tip for
“students to participate” in class. Students who don’t participate in activities and
group work will risk their grade being lowered, and could face the threat of getting
kicked out of honors! The second tip I like is the tip “do not procrastinate!” This is
the piece of advice I noticed students mentioning the most as I was looking through
the blogs. I absolutely agree with this tip, because procrastination often leads to
stress and messy work. It's better to get your work done right away then to wait until
the last minute. The last tip that I like is the tip, “read!” This is also a tip that I saw a lot
while scrolling through the blogs. Reading helps build your vocabulary and it’s just
fun to read in general. (plus If you read a lot and get into the I Read Club you’ll get to
go to the party at the end of the year.)

Writing has been a big part of my life ever since I was 5 years old. I especially love to
write my own short stories when I have free time. I like to keep a journal of all my ideas
for books (like names for the characters, plot lines that I could use, settings, etc.) I
can’t wait to learn new techniques, and writing skills this year in language arts honors
class!

Hi Alexa, good first blog. I really liked how you made your blog exciting in a way, and not just plain and boring. Like how you used exclamation marks for excitement, and added color to certain words to make them stand out a bit more. Something you could try maybe however, is to expand on how writing has been a big part of your life since you were 5 years old. Overall, great blog.
