There were 3 tips that stood out to me the most, as I glanced through all of the tips the 7th graders wrote in the past. The first thing that stood out: DO NOT PROCRASTINATE -- if you wait to turn in your assignments, your grades will drop. This stood out to me, mainly because my grades are important and I also hate all the stress when it comes to doing your work at the last-minute. The second thing that stood out to me was: READ -- every day possible. Read at least for 30 minutes. 40 books by the end of the year = end-of-school-year party. That stood out mainly because, I like to finish all requirements by the end of the year, so I can attend the rewarding parties and have a great summer knowing that I have done my job the right way. The third tip that stood out to me a lot was: KNOW DUE DATES -- check your g-mail often and read the blog posts weekly. That stood out because I think it is very important to have your assignments turned in on time. Those are the three tips that I am really going to focus on this year, thanks to the 7th graders for the awesome tips!

I’ve been writing probably since kindergarten. I was looking through my journals from elementary school from K-3 and they are all so fun to read! Correcting the grammar is hilarious too. :) I was really creative with the way I wrote stories. I’ve always loved writing even since kindergarten! One of the stories I wrote when I was in 2nd grade, that I love reading still to this day, was our butterfly diary. Our teacher ordered small caterpillars for us to watch their life cycle grow and how it works. Each day, we wrote about our little caterpillar and how it changed from the day before, and so on. Well, sooner or later, we had a whole diary of each day, as we watched the caterpillars grow into butterflies, and we made a story out of it! It was so fun, and especially now, to read the story and see how much I enjoyed to write about it. I love to write and I can’t wait to write and learn more this year!!
