Proper Dinner
There where a lot of good writing prompts but the one I choose was to sit down during dinner and
actually interact with my parents and ask about their days and ask questions. This was kinda easy
because when my mom comes home I ask about her day anyways, but I never really have a real
conversation with my dad. At my house, dinner usually starts by my dad watching TV while eating his
dinner, my mom calls me from my room to eat, I sit down eat my food, my mom is doing I don't
know what, probably doing the dishes or something, and then I go back to my room and my mom
finally servers herself dinner. However I told my parents that we all had to sit together at the table and
have a proper dinner.

We all sat down at the table and started talking. At first it was kinda awkward because there wasn’t a
lot to talk about. I started by asking my mom about her day she said it was okay and the same as always.
Then I asked my dad about his day, and he was kinda surprised that I asked. He said his day was a little
bit harder than usual and it meant a lot that I cared. After that I asked questions about his work and
learned a lot of things I didn't know he did on a daily basis. After this experience I realized that I need
to this more often and actually talk and communicate more.

I loved this Anely! Good work initiating conversation with your family. This could start a new tradition. Keep asking those questions. I liked your writing to represent the experience too:)
ReplyDeleteThis is really good! I don't really know what to fix.
