Talking to my Parents!!

For this week's assignment, I decided to sit down with my family and ask them how their day went.  We almost always sit down and eat together but today I asked them more questions and got some pretty interesting answers. I realized that communicating with my parents is a big skill to learn and I should talk to them more. I asked my dad and his response was "Tiring". Which is understandable considering he works outside all day.  He also said that the rest of his day was ''Great" and he is ''Happy to be alive.'' After I asked my dad how his day was, I asked my mom. She said ''Annoying.'' Then I asked her why and she said "because I had a headache and did not get everything done.'' After I asked my parents how their day went, I asked them what they did. I asked my dad, ''What was the most fascinating thing that occurred during work?.'' His response was, '' I had to pick up my friend that ran out of gas on the side of the road.'' '' Sooo... That's fun!'' I thought that that was very interesting. I proceeded to ask my mom what was interesting about her day and she responded like this. "My day was very boring, but I went to Wal-Mart.'' Which is kind of exiting? So, in conclusion, I have learned that my parents have interesting days (sometimes). I have also realized that talking to my parents is kind of nice because we all learned about what each other did during the day and it is really neat to hear about it!

  1. Hooray for talking with parents!! Kinda fun, huh? Keep doing this--you'll all love it. I like your positive attitude and you did a good job communicating the conversation in writing. Well done!

  2. I think you did a good job! It's nice to know that your parents have good days and bad days too. You used good questions to ask them, and you learned something important.

  3. Your blog post is good so probably the only thing I would consider doing is reading directions for the blog post more carefully.
