This last week I tried a new recipe, chicken fajitas. There were a lot of steps, and I needed help
from my family. You had to make your own seasoning and had to cut a lot of different kinds and
colors of peppers. When I finished, I realize that cooking takes more time than you think. I also
learned a new kind of gratitude for other people that take their time to cook and help cook. For
the chicken and peppers you had to put the chicken in the pan with olive oil, garlic, and half of
the homemade seasoning (that included chili powder, cayenne powder, cumin powder, black
pepper, and salt). After the chicken is cooked through, you add the onions and peppers and
the rest of the seasoning. On the recipe it also had the instructions on how to make cilantro
lime rice. Now that I have learned and cooked my own recipe, I have become more aware,
and now I help others when they are working. That is the recipe that I tried and learned many
new and great attributes from it.
