My parents (sorta) talk about their day.
Just last night, I asked my parents how their day was going. They didn't know what to say, so they didn't say anything. i asked them again, then after no response i explained it was for a tedious assignment for my language arts class. They promptly gave very brief explanations about their day saying something like this, "Well, I went to church, listened to my child give a two second talk, then helped my other child with scout stuff." They didn't have much to say. I usually hear more about their day when I don't ask them, and then they just talk about it. It wasn't very fun, and I didn't learn very much.
