I asked my dad about our budget and how much everything costs and man there is a lot of stuff
you have to pay for as a grown up. First of all he talked about his salary and how much he makes
per month. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how much he makes. First, he talked about tax and
that it takes a lot of money out of his paycheck. Second he talked about all the big bills, like the
house bill, car bil, and food. Also, the student loan he is still paying off.

Next, are the little bills like utilities and stuff like that. I learned that when you grow up you have to
pay for a lot more than you do right now. Also that it is pretty expensive so you will need to make
a good living. Now I know why we need education and to go to college. It’s so when it is time for
us to earn a living and support a family we will be ready for the job that comes to us.

I like how used stated multiple reasons of how budgets work, but one thing you could do better is to elaborate more on each of them to give your paragraphs more length.
ReplyDeleteI liked reading this! I enjoyed how you said first, second, etc. One thing I would watch out for is you used first twice in the begining paragraph.
ReplyDeleteGreat sequencing and I love these kinds of conversations with parents: so important! Keep an eye out for grammar and add more details (not your dad's salary, ha ha), but other details. Good work though!
