St. Patrick's Day is a tradition with interesting roots. Please write 1 paragraph explaining the history of St. Patrick's Day and how we celebrate it in America. Do you celebrate it in your home? If so, how?
 CITE YOUR SOURCES!!!

Remember to thoughtfully comment (using the comment guidelines) on 3 other posts. Have fun and may the luck of Irish be with you! This post is due on the magical day of March 17th.

                                                               Love one another.

If we all loved each other like we love ourselves the world would be so much nicer. There would be no racism, no hate, no war, no enemies, and no bullying. With racism gone we can all work together in peace to find the answers to the biggest problems and questions. If war stops we would all join together as a civilization and make the impossible possible. And when there is no hate, no enemies, and no bullying we would finally achieve world peace. So if we all loved each other like we love ourselves we can make the impossible possible.

Dear Moi,

Let’s face it. I am the most flawless, beautiful, talented and humble pig on the ENTIRE planet. I radiate self-love and confidence. In fact, I don't care what anyone thinks of me--unless they think I’m awesome--which of course would make them correct. I am truly the most beautiful woman/pig/thing alive. There isn’t a single person in the whole world that could convince me otherwise although--if some sort of crazy person tried to bring me down--they would get a slap across the face. Funny enough, they would probably be honored to have me even touch them!  I mean is there any other creature that looks perfect in everything? My specialty is diamonds. Sparkle is my color. Did I mention people are crazy about me? Take Kermit for example. He is great because he adores me. I am, after all, impeccable. I enjoy Kermit as well but let’s be honest--the only reason I really need him is to buy me things. That’s only partially true but it does take a small village to take care of moi. And while we’re on the subject of moi...I work hard at what I do. Or I would work hard--if I had to. My job is to look stunning, which, lucky for me, takes no effort. Huh…. well that makes my life easy!  Goodness...writing this makes me realize (even more) how perfect I am. I really needed that.

                                                                                                            Sincerely,
                                                                                                                   Miss Piggy

Star Wars

Dear Hera,

I haven't much time, I can feel it. My time as a physical being is short, and because I will leave you and the crew, I wish to tell you something important. Did you know that your eyes are such a captivating green? I love the way you smile at me, and how you always know what to do and say. You are the best pilot in the whole galaxy. You amaze me everyday, in all of the ways you annoy me and make me smile. Hera, you are forever in my heart, and in the hearts of those that you meet. You are the greatest woman I have ever met, so just know this: I love you to the end of the universe and back, for all of eternity.

Love,
Caleb
If people loved each other as much as they loved themselves the world would be a better place. If this statement were true, bullying would be nonexistent, and there would be no homicide. This would also effect families and communities. Children that are all grown up that had made bad choices would be reunited with their families and communities would be a better place. There would be more service and charity event things. There would be no wars either. There is a flaw in the statement. These days depression rates are high and not every body loves themselves. So if this statement were true there would probably more wars, bullying and families would be split apart.

What if everyone loved other people as much as themselves?❤️

What if everyone loved other people as much as themselves? If everyone loved other people as much as themselves there would be more kindness in the world. Also there would be no bullies because they will love everyone as much as themselves. There would be no wars there would be peace. With a world like this everyone would be happy. Families would be changed because there would be no fighting and that would help make a better relationship with your family members. In our community you would want to help people that you see that need help. Whereas most people do not help them. Also people would do better working with other people not just their friend. If everyone loved other people as much as themselves the world would be a way better place.

If Everyone Loved Each Other As They Loved Themselves.

If everyone loved each other as they loved themselves, then everything would be free.
We won’t need any money or currency or a government to make laws, because we won’t need them.
There will never be any more crimes or trials.
There we won’t need judges, and since everyone cares about each other, everyone would get their dream job and be able to support everyone around them.
There won’t be a need for homework, for since everyone loved each other as they loved themselves.
The students would pay attention in class and not have to practice much since they paid attention and
tried to understand it.
School and work hours would be a lot shorter since everyone will pay attention and concentrate on their task without slacking off.
This is what I think would happen in a world where everyone loved each other as they loved themselves.

If everyone cares about each other and loves them, then families would get more time together.
There would be no drugs, no alcohol, or abuse.
Every family would get to be happy together, and kids wouldn’t have to suffer the pain of a family divorce.
We would get free Nintendo Switches and play Super Mario Party together.
There would be Community Gardens everywhere and everyone in your neighbourhood would volunteer to help when you are in need of something, like sugar.
That is what I think would happen if everyone loves each other and how it would impact families
and communities.

Fictional Love letter from Bracken to Kendra (FableHaven)

Dearest Kendra,

Can you believe it? We finally fixed up the shrine at Fablehaven to the
new fairy realm, so I can finally visit you! I’ll finally be able to visit more
often, and maybe I can get to know your grandparents better. Not only that,
I can visit with Seth and hang out with him. But that’s not the only reason
I want to visit Fablehaven. I want to visit you. Ever since the first time I
laid eyes on you, I’ve been attracted to you. I mean, what unicorn wouldn’t
be drawn to a fair maiden such as yourself? You truly are one of a kind,
Kendra. And guess what the good news is? This time, against all odds, my
mother approves! Here’s the problem though, even though my mind doesn’t
feel old, we both know I’ve existed for a long time. Chronologically, I’ve
existed for so long I make your grandparents look like infants. I care for
you deeply, Kendra. Always remember that. Hopefully in a few years,
when you mature, we’ll be able to figure something out. In the meantime,
I hope I will be able to visit you more, and get to know you better.

Yours always, Bracken

A world everybody loved each other like they loved themselves.

If everybody in the world, all of a sudden started loving everybody else like they loved themselves, I think it would be great day. Nobody would be fighting, yelling, or bullying anybody else. It would be very peaceful and everybody would get along. Everyone could play together and it wouldn't be all competitive because nobody would care who won and who lost. There would be less crimes, and a bunch of homeless people would be cared for and get a good meal. As you can see, if everyone love others as much as they loved themselves it would make a better world.

Families would get along, siblings wouldn't fight, and there wouldn't be divorce. If everybody loved everyone else the family and the community setting would change greatly. There probably wouldn't be a mayor. There would most likely be a big town council of a lot of people. This would happen because people would love everyone so they wouldn't know who to vote for. In conclusion, if everyone love others as much as they loved themselves the community and the family would change greatly.

What if People Loved Eachother Like They Love Themselves.

What would the world be like if people loved others
like they love themselves? A world where people loved each
other would make everyone happy! Most people would
agree that knowing somebody loves you is an amazing feeling.
Loving someone else could feel just as great. If people loved
others like they love themself, everyone would be happy.
If everyone was happier, that would make the world a
better place. People would be better at working together, and
we’d all get along. If everybody loved each other, some people
who don’t really love themselves or anybody, would feel a
lot happier. Happiness makes the world a good place, and
feeling loved does too. If people loved others like they
loved themselves, the world would be amazing.

What if people loved others as much as themselves

You might wonder what the world would be like if people loved each other as much as they loved themselves. If people treated others the same way they treat themselves everyone would be happy and would have many friends. Everyone would help people who need it and there would be no sadness. There would be no fighting and war. Plus people would not be unkind to each other. This would be great because everyone would be at peace, and everyone would also be happy and have many other people to help them and be their friends.

What if people loved each other as much as themselves?

I know that I talk to myself a lot. Usually, Emily! Focus! or You can do it, Emily! But Most people have different feeling toward themselves. Some people are cocky and think that they are higher than others. Some people don't like themselves as much. Others may even think themselves of the crowd, or at least try to. Honestly not much would change, I mean, there might be more kind people, but there's always depression and anxiety, that can change people's point of view.
Life would be great, but there will always be downers. people would work together better.

The Key to Extraordinary - Love Letter From Earl to Emma

Dear Emma,

You are extremely amazing and special, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You saved the entire town, and I just want you to know how extraordinary you are because of it. I am glad you saved my life during the storm. You taught me to face my fears, not run from them. I am very glad I came back to Blackbird Hollow to meet you.

Love,
Earl Chance

💕What if People Loved Others as Much as They Love Themselves?💕

A world where people love themselves as much as they love others would be a great thing. People would be doing nice things for other people, and they would feel good and do more nice things, and it would snowball. It would feel really good to live in a world like that. However, some people don't feel good about themselves. They would be rude to others, and that might make people sad.💔However, people would make them happy, and then they would make others happy. 😄

Families and communities would be positively benefited from this change. There would be more love in the family, and the community would be happier. Families would be nice to each others, and the families would be nice to each other. This would lead to a nice community. Overall, if people loved others as much as they loved themselves, the world would be a better place.
Dear Iris West,

I know I have been the speed force for a long time, and this letter will probably never make it to you
but I want you to know that I love and miss you so much! If I get out of this place the first thing I want
to do is get married. You are the most amazing, beautiful, wonderful person I have ever met and I
want to spend the rest of my life with you. I have waited so long to be with you, and now I have to
wait even longer, but I have hope that one day I will make it out of here, and we can be happy together
once more.

Your True Love,

Barry Allen

If Everyone Loved Each Other Like We Love Ourselves

If everyone loved each other like we love ourselves we would have a lot less problems. People would be nicer to each other, and everyone would be friends. It would be nice to live in a world like this because everyone would feel less judged because they know everyone loves them. Although it would be nice, it can also cause problems. If we lived in a community where everyone loved each other, no one would learn how to deal with difficult people. I know that in a place with perfect people you wouldn't think you need this, but even if you love someone they can still be annoying sometimes.  Loving everyone could change how you treat your family. You might treat your family and community better because you realize they are just people like you are. Everything would be different if Everyone loved each other.
Love letter: To Minnie Mouse from Mickey Mouse

Dear Minnie,
Happy Valentines Day! Today I just wanted to express my fondness for you. I
like you because you are very sweet, generous, and funny. I love the big bow that
you always wear. You’ve always been the greatest friend to me and you make me
feel so special. Because you are so special to me, I wrote you a rhyming love poem...

You are the paint to my art,
to the beat in my heart.
You are the sun in my sky,
to the twinkle in my eye.
You are the light in my moon,
to the silver in my spoon.
You are the maze in my game,
to the glaze of my doughnut.
You are the smile to my whiskers,
To the warmth of my summers.

This is my rhyming love poem to you and I hope you liked it even though its cheesy,
I can't help but love cheesy things, we are mice after all!

Love,

LOVE

If there where a world where everyone loved other people as much as they loved
themselves it would honestly not be so different than our world.  Some people love
their self way to much. These people would make the world better because they
would give so much love to others. Their community and family will be strong with
so much love. Some people don’t love themselves at all, but if most people don't
love themselves then there would be no love in the world. This means there would
be a lot of negative talk and not a lot of love toward others.  Families and communities
would fall apart since people wouldn't be very kind to each other. Nowadays people
don't love themselves as much as they should. There would be good and bad love
towards others. In conclusion, there's a good side to this and a bad side to this world.
If we loved everyone the way we loved ourselves
If I lived in a world where everyone loved each other the way we love ourselves it would be a bad world. Everyday, we would wake up and tell our family how sleepy they look. We would wake up and point out to our family members that they have a pimple and their eye bags look bigger than they did yesterday. We would go to school and tell them that there outfit is ugly and they need to wash their hair. I would tell my best friend that nobody likes her and she is going to die alone. In math class, I would tell my friends that they are stupid and need a tutor to pass a class. I would get home and tell Tanner to stop eating because he needs to lose a few pounds. At gymnastics, I would tell my teammates that they suck at gymnastics and they will be on the same level for the next few years. I would get home and tell my mom and dad to start eating healthier. This world would be so cruel if we loved others the way we loved ourselves. Love yourself, you are amazing and deserve love!
If there was a world where everyone loved other people as much as themselves, then I think that the world would be much different. Some things that probably wouldn't even be here, would be taxes and payments. I think that no one would want themselves to pay, so no one would have to. Also, everyone would all have a really nice home, for free. They would also have all of there other payments already paid. There would also never be any crime or stealing from other people. They would also feed other people and do everything for everyone, and try to make them as comfortable as possible. Life would also just be a breeze, and would be really easy. So, that is what I think that a world where everyone loved each other as much as themselves, would be like.

Love Letter

Dear James ,

I wanted to thank you so much for what you have done throughout all my life. Although you probably
don’t remember me, I want to thank you so much for being there, for all of us. You were all I had after
Brady and Miller died, let alone Lacey had forgotten us too. You were the reason I hadn’t killed myself too,
and I know that you are still there somewhere. I’ll be strong, I won’t let them erase my memories, parts of
my life like Brady, Miller, Lacey, and you too. I won’t give up that easily and I will do whatever it takes to
bring back your memories too. It seems almost impossible, but I won’t give up. I don’t know what The
Program will do next, but I’ll keep fighting, I won’t forget you.

Love,

Sloane

LOVE
I learned how to kind of talk like Shakespeare just for you, so I hope you enjoy this poem. Hopefully it isn't dorky. How art thee so divine, yet also so beautiful. Thine touch is softer than any rose. Thou sweet smile makes me glow. Thine heart is purer than a diamond. Thou art as graceful as a swimming swan. Thine dark blue eyes make the sky jealous. Thou personality is brighter than the sun itself. I wanted to tell you in an creative way that you are very special and dear to me. And not just me, but everyone. I hope that you liked my poem and that you will cherish it forever and know that you are special. Everyone loves you and wishes they could be you. I really like you and always will. This is something I have kept inside of me forever, but now I have found the courage to give this to you. And I hope it isn't just for you to read and throw away, but make you feel special and always have me in your heart. Please, if you want to, write me back. XOXOXO

What Would the World be?

If there was a world where everyone love other people as much as they love themselves the
would probably not change so much. The world would not change too much because some
people do not love themselves. This world would probably have a little more peace, because
there are some people who do actually love themselves. For those people that do love
themselves would have an effect on the people that are around them, and same goes for the
people that do not love themselves as much as they should. There might be some different
things if we lived in a world where everyone love each other as much as they love themselves.

Some of the families and communities would be affected if we lived in a world where people
love other as much as they love themselves. Some families have family members that probably
don’t love themselves as much as they need to and they would treat everyone in their family
bad, because they do not love themselves. One way that communities could get changed is
that some people in that community would get into some trouble because they might dislike
themselves and would get into some trouble and that would affect the community. Many
families and communities would get changed if everyone loved others as much as they love
themselves.

Dear Ruth,
When you first arrived here in Kent I thought you were a spy, here to bomb our city. But,
after I really got to know you I wished we had met a long time ago. I’ve always wanted a sister,
thinking back I realized you were like a big sister to me. Now we are both separated by a war
and a whole country. The distance makes me wish you had stayed and been the big sister I never
had. Ever since you left I have longed for another ride out in the green fields riding in secret away
from reality. But, now I understand the importance of you going to help your grandma during the
terrible war. You have taught me how to have the strength and courage to last me the rest of the war.
If the war ever ends we will see each other again and go riding through the town. I have experienced
many hard things through my life but now that I have met you I will always be able to have the boldness
to stand out and be strong to help others.

(The war I finally won)                        Love,
                                                                                       Ada

What would our world be like?

If we lived in a world where everybody loved each other as much as we love ourselves, there would be no violence and everybody would be each other's friends.

If we lived in this type of world none of the wars that we've had, wouldn't have happened. Families would still have their loved ones and nobody would be sad. We would also be everybody's friends and not look at people differently.

Families and Communities would be changed a lot. Everybody would help each other and everybody would be more kind to each other. We would forgive and move on more easily. Families would also be changed for the better because parents and kids would not fight as much, and they would see or understand the others person's point of view. That is what it would be like if we lived in a world where we love others as we love ourselves.

Dearest Taylor,
I know you will never read this but I am gonna write it anyway. I am so sorry that your father was shot, he is a great man and a great father. I didn’t know about all the pressure you were getting, and I am sorry we had to say goodbye. You did it for the best, I know that, but it still hurts. Ostin was saying it will just take time to heal, but I don’t think time will heal it, my heart already broke once when my dad died and that still hasn’t healed. Now that it has been broken twice, I think it will stay that way. I told you that you owned my heart, and you told me that you owned mine, I guess… not anymore. I’m sorry I let you down, I was the one who involved you and your family in this. You didn’t ask for any of this and I am sorry I forced it onto you. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I love you…

Hey guys guess what??? I'm not procrastinating right now! (In my January post the thing I was going to try to stop was to stop procrastinating) Anyway....

In a world if everyone loved each other as much as they loved themselves, there would be good and bad things. Some people don't treat themselves like the should and are beat themselves up about how they're not pretty enough, or smart enough. But some people love themselves and have confidence in what they do. Sure, there would be good things, but there would also be bad things going on in that world.

If everyone in the world loved each other as they love themselves, the world would be a better place because everyone would be nice and happy to you. No one would be made fun, of or bullied, or left out. Everyone would be kind to others and everyone would have fun. Families would be nicer to each other and not fight, and communities would get along and work better together. But not everybody loves themselves.

If everyone loved each other as much as they loved themselves, there would be bad things too. Some people hate themselves and are mean to themselves and others. So if those types of people treated others the way they treat themselves, people would get hurt and then feel bad about themselves. Then when they really start to hate themselves, they will treat others like crap. Then it will spread and we will end up with a world where everyone despises themselves and others. That would really suck.

If everyone loved each other as much as they love themselves

I personally don't think much would change, sorry to say but a lot of people
don't love themselves as it is so I’m gonna change the question a little bit. “If
everyone loved themselves as much as they love someone else would
the world be a better place?” Think about how much you love your best friend, if
you loved yourself as much as you love your best friend the whole world would
change for the better. I think people would be way nicer to everyone no matter
what. So I think that if people loved themselves as much as they loved their best
friend the world would be better and people would be happier.

Dear Julia,                             From Letters to the Lost

Have you ever felt a connection to anything or anyone, or am I just crazy? Ever since that first letter in the graveyard, I have felt connected to you. I understand you, and I hope you feel the same. Ivé tried to see past us but I just keep getting pulled back to you. I know you might think I am crazy and care free, but I want you to know that I care about you and want the best for you. I hope this relationship works out.  But most of all I just want you to be happy, Even if it means not with me. I hope you feel the same. With all that is going on in your life, I want you to feel loved and important. I know when we first started we did not see eye to eye. I know now that I have always had feelings for you.

With Love, Delcan

A Love letter to Wendy from Finn: The Trylle Trilogy Series

Dear Wendy,

I don’t know if this will ever get to you, but I need to write this so I can get this out of my head. I have been quite lonely, waiting for a new “mission.” Being alone gives me time to think, way too much time. I’m torn, I want so badly to run back to you. I know that you will drop everything and run with me. But I have responsibilities and so do you. Sometimes, I wonder if I was royalty, would we still love each other, or, is it the circumstances that have made us fall in love? Ever since I have left, I’ve regretted it. I keep thinking about the first time we met at your school, and the last kiss we shared. I wish so badly we could run away to someplace where no one would find us. But taking you away would only put you in danger. I wish things were different. I hope someday, someway, we will meet again.

-Your Forbidden Love,
Finn

What If Everyone Loved Other People As Much As They Loved Themselves?

A world where everyone loved each other as much as they love themselves, would be awesome. Life would be much more enjoyable for most people to live. They would also be happy most of the time because they would all love one another just as much as they do themselves. On the other hand, some people who don't love themselves as much as they should, wouldn't be very happy with life. It would probably be difficult to get along and bond with others. People who do love themselves might change the people who don't by loving them as much as they can and showing them that they can be happy that way.

Some families and communities would change a lot. Some in good ways, and some not so much. Some people would be more active with each other. Other people would stay away and avoid people more. People that didn't love themselves would probably dislike each other more. They would also probably treat one another badly and hurt them physically and mentally if it came to that. Families and communities might possibly have more respect for each other than they already do and it could also be vice versa with other families and communities. Which I hope wouldn't because that would be terrible to live that way. Other people would stay away and avoid people more.

Friday, February 8, 2019

In a world where everyone loved each other as much as themselves it would
be good and bad. On the good side the people who love themselves would be
loving others it would be a good world where everyone would respect you and
also be nice and help others. On the bad side some people are not happy with
themselves and would not be very kind. Therefore the world would have its ups
and downs, but it would mostly be happy and fun.
What would happen if everyone loved other people as much
as they love themselves, and how would families and communities
be changed?

This question is one that many people would answer differently. Lots of people in this modern time don’t love themselves as much as needed. Many people feel that
they aren’t good enough because of  social media influencers and all the
companies telling you that, “You aren’t good enough, come by our product
to make you more beautiful!” I think that the world would be a miserable place
if people loved everyone else as much as they love themselves.

Families and communities would definitely be changed if this were to happen.
Our families would most likely drift apart because of fighting and hatred. We
wouldn’t get along, and we wouldn’t want to be with each other. Communities
would also not be the same because everyone would dislike seeing each other and
being together.

Love Letter (Fictional) From Rangers Apprentice: Will to Alyss

Dear Alyss,

Ever since the war has been going on, I haven’t seen you in what seems forever. The truth is that I truly
do miss you. Even though it has been a while since that beautiful night when we first kissed, I can still
feel how gentle and soft your lips were. As hard as it is for a Ranger to admit something like this, I
truly believe that I am in love with you. You are always so kind and so amazingly beautiful. We have
practically grown up together and I have always had a special bond with you. You have grown up so
much and have gone so far, you are definitely the cutest and smartest girl I have ever met. Right now
the thing that is driving me to wake up and fight in the war is you. I cant wait till I will be home and I can
finally see you again. Your so amazing and I love you with all my heart.

Love,

Will Treaty

If Everyone Loved Each Other as Much as They Love Themselves

At first, I thought that this thing was supposed to be about, ¨If People Loved Each Other as Much As I Love Myself¨, and I had a much more entertaining view on the matter. Although, if people loved each other as much as people seem to love themselves, there would be a lot more kindness than there is in the world. People generally love themselves (I'm not talking to the emo's) which is a good thing to a degree, as long as it doesn't get in the way of helping others (I could've put that as my resolution). Of course society as a whole would be greatly improved if people loved each other THAT much.
I wonder if it's better that some people don't like each other as much sometimes. Think about it, if everyone is equally nice then there isn't room for extra kindness that bonds people. Plus, you can learn things from people who are not very nice. Let's take for (theoretical) example, a very sad, very pathetic person, who holds onto year-old grudges, ignores people, and doesn't accept apologies. You can learn much from this kind of a person. You can learn how NOT to treat people. Plus, think of any interesting story, does it go ¨Nothing bad ever happened to the main character because everyone loved him/her¨ That would be almost as bad as any Rick Riordan book. So, I think that its good that people don't love each other as much as they love themselves, it would be cool if it was possible, but it wouldn't be as interesting.

Monday, February 4, 2019

In  a world where other people loved others as much as themselves would be so cool. I feel like everyone would get along and everyone would be nice and caring for each other. I bet they would throw a big party for each holiday and just have fun. The community there would all get a long and have empathy for others. Everyday each person in the town/village would give a small gift to someone. That way everyone gives and receives. People will be happier and make other people feel happy. This village is kind of like Trolls the movie where they sing, dance, and party all the time, and no one is down. This village would be awesome!

FEBRUARY BLOG POST ASSIGNMENT! DUE 2/28

You have 2 options on what to write about this week. Choose 1 and write it up!

OPTION #1 Explanatory Writing
Imagine a world where everyone loved other people as much as they loved themselves. What would it be like to live in such a world? How would families and communities be changed?
(Please note there are 2 questions here, address each one in an explanatory paragraph:)

OPTION #2 Creative Writing
Write a love letter (school appropriate) from one
fictional character to another.

For example, a letter from Holling to Meryl Lee from Wednesday Wars, or a letter from Gaston to himself (Beauty and the Beast).
You can choose any fictional characters!
