My Favorite Thanksgiving Food

"Dinner is ready." Your mom calls. You race downstairs, with your cousins and siblings at your heels. The second you step into the kitchen, the aroma takes over you. You stand still just taking it all in, when you snap out of it everyone is already in line for food. You run over, and that is when you see it...
                                     The MASHED POTATOES
"Yes!" you scream with great enthusiasm, "Yes!".  "Quiet down and come get some food." your uncle yells. You grab a plate and pile it high with all the food you can get your hands on. When you sit back down you realize that 60% of your plate is covered in mashed potatoes dripping with gravy and the 40% is all the other food you got. The mashed potatoes are white, fluffy, and oh so creamy, you wish that you could eat them everyday. Then you immediately dig into your potatoes, taking delicious mouthwatering bites.

Now that we are done with the story, we can talk about real facts. True or False: Are potatoes healthy? Well, let me tell you something they ARE!! According to https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/are-potatoes-healthy potatoes contain 27% potassium, 37% of vitamin C, 31% vitamin B6, 5 grams of protein, and 4 grams of fiber. Also according to https://www.fluentu.com/blog/english/thanksgiving-list-of-foods/ mashed potatoes are ranked the 3rd most popoular thanksgiving food. So, as you can see Mashed Potatoes are the best Thanksgiving food, because not only are they healthy but they are also delicious.
