If you’ve never been treated to the tasty, crispy goodness that comes with a fried
Thanksgiving turkey, this is the year to go for it. Turkey is the best Thanksgiving
food because of how many people eat turkey on Thanksgiving day. According to extension.illinois.edu/turkey/turkey_facts.cfm, 88% of Americans surveyed by the National Turkey Federation eat turkey on Thanksgiving. That means 46 million turkeys are eaten each Thanksgiving, 22 million on Christmas and 19 million turkeys on Easter. In 2011, 736 million pounds of turkey were consumed in the United States. Fun Fact! : The heaviest turkey ever raised was 86 pounds, about the size of a large dog. In brief, turkey is one of the most flavorful, finger licking, mouthwatering, and most delightful food you could ever eat at Thanksgiving time.
