The best food for Thanksgiving seems pretty obvious: TURKEY! According to history.com, it's been around since the first Thanksgiving, which makes it a classic. Pumpkin pie might be nice, but they didn't have the butter or flour necessary. And because they were short on sugar, the pilgrims were left without cranberry sauce. Why not stick with the classic turkey? According to extension.illinois.edu, 88% of Americans eat turkey for Thanksgiving. That's 46 million people! With all the popularity, it seems clear that your best choice for Thanksgiving is turkey!
