St.Patrick's Day

The very first thing I think of when I hear St.Patrick’s Day is GREEN! Saint Patrick’s Day always falls on March 17.  St. Patrick, patron saint of Ireland was born in Roman Britain in the late 4th century, he was kidnapped at the age of 16 and taken to Ireland as a slave. He escaped but returned about 432 to convert the Irish to Christianity. By the time of his death on March 17, 461, he had established monasteries, churches, and schools. Celebrations concentrate on Irish themed parties, drinks, and food. Dateandtime.com says, "many people get into the spirit by dressing in green clothing and eating green-colored food. Irish clubs and pubs often hold parties or have special deals." The only way my family celebrates St.Patrick's day is by wearing green. If you don't then someone gets to pinch you.
