1. Ok if you get anything from this post is that you just can't procrastinate.
2. You need to read like ALOT
3. Blog posts and monthly contests are due every month so stay on your A game
4. This class aint' easy you will need to be determined that you want to stay in this class for the whole school year
5. Slow your reading down in this class we read over things alot and are required to read throughout the whole year so don't try to get your books all done at the begging of the year
6. Put your homework as a top priority or you will be left behind
7. Try to have fun sometimes it's hard but you just gotta make the best out of it
8. Try to keep your grade up it will be really embarrassing to be kicked out
9. You need to be focused or you will be stuck not knowing what to do
10. Finally, make sure your grammar is on point

ten things for honors LA

1. Don't, I repeat, DO NOT, attempt to work at the last second. It rarely works out and isn't that fun even when it does. Procrastination is one of the worst things for your grade.

2. Even though I don't believe in karma, when you do nice things for people, you feel better and it makes your day a lot better. The same goes for the other way around, so, be a good person.

3.Don't look at the clock. It makes the time take longer. Read a book or do some homework.

4.  Have a good attitude about nearly everything, even when it sucks. Trust me, homework and classwork isn't going to be the hardest part of seventh grade.

5. Bring a snack for when you get writers block.

6. I'm told that teamwork is an important skill. I assume it is. Try it and tell me how it works.

7. Creativity is  appreciated.

9. Always ask question. Unless you understand the topic. Then don't...

10. Never be content. Striving is a lot more fun in the end than just sitting around being content at where you are.

Ten things you need to know about honors language arts!

1. Never procrastinate!
When you are in honors I just want to tell you, you will have a lot of work. When you procrastinate
you will just keep piling up the work. Also, you forget about it and then you turn it in late.

2.  Turn your work in on time!
In honors you ned to turn your work in on time. If you dont you will lose points and your grade will
drop.

3. Always check the blog!
Mrs. Robins will always be giving updates on the blog. She also sometimes gives robins rewards or
gecko cards if you read it the night before.

4. Listen to directions! 
Sometimes assignments might be confusing, so always listen to directions closely!

5.  Ask questions if confused!
Sometimes even if you listen to directions closely, they can still be a littke confusing. So always ask
questions. Mrs. Robins is happy to answer any questions. It will also clear up your confusion.

6. Pay attention!
Even though you may think it is boring at times, always pay attention! If you dont you could miss
a really important annmouncement or how to do something!

7.  Do blog posts early!
If you do blog posts early you will most of the time recieve a gecko card or something. Also, you
have it done so you dont have to worry about it for the whole month.

8.  Mrs. Robins is a great teacher!
Mrs. Robins is so nice and will help you get any late work in. Even though she might doc you a
point or two for being late she is always willing to help.

9. Read, Read, Read!
In Mrs. Robins class it is a lot about reading. She will sometimes give you prizes if you read the night
 before. Also if you get into the iread you get a t shirt king size candy and a ticket to a huge party at
the end of the year. P.S. the party is awesome!

10. Always, Always, Always have fun!
Even though it may seem very stressful at times, it is just school and you still get to do fun things.

      1. Never procrastinate, that was one that was one of my biggest problems and it

 costs severely. Your grade can go from an A to an NP in a week, so make sure 

you keep on turning things in. 

      2. Turn things in no matter what, even if it's late, it's better than nothing at all.

 Don't just stop doing it because the due date is past. 

      3. Try to enjoy the class. It doesn't have to be your favorite, but still try to enjoy

 it.

 

       4. Be nice to your teacher. This is one of the most important things, keep up

 good relations with your teacher, and they'll really enjoy you as a student.

       5. Do your writing contests, they're worth a lot of your grade. They might 

seem confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of them!

      6. Do your writing blog, they're also worth a lot of your grade, in my opinion

 they're a lot easier than writing contests and you should be able to finish it pretty easily.

     7. I'd say this is one of the hardest classes for me to take, if you aren't up to take

 honors, I wouldn't, but you can give it a shot if you'd like, it's pretty fun!

    8. Make sure you do your homework before doing anything after school, 

although their might not be a whole lot of homework it piles up fast, so make sure

 you do it as soon as you get home!

   9. Get ready to read a whole lot! I love reading but I find it hard to find books 

I love to read. What you should do is find books you want to read during the

 summer or early on in the year.

   10. You have to do poetry. Good Luck!

10 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR HONORS L.A.

First, whatever teacher you have language arts is fun! Especially in honors, I had
honors with Mrs. Robins but you are probably having it with Mrs. Wallace. I love Mrs. Wallace

she’s funny and very kind, well enough of that little intro here are the ten things
you need to know!

1. TURN YOUR STUFF IN ON TIME - it helps you immensely
2. Follow the directions exactly - your teacher will take off points if you don’t follow the exact instructions
3. Have fun!! - if you don’t like L.A. you probably won’t like this class but try! Choose to write about stories you want to write about.
4. Be friends with your teacher - I don't mean hang out with her,  but be kind to her always.
5. Always do your best! - take this class seriously
6. Don’t procrastinate!! - (this is basically #1 but it’s important) for real don’t not do work.
7. Ask questions - especially if you're confused
8. Put first things first! - do your homework first and then anything else.
9. Always attend class - don’t miss that many days
10. Manage your time so you can study, do work, and do fun stuff.

If you follow these you will probably be one of the favorite students!

Top 10 things to know about Honors L.A.

1. Don't Procrastinate!!!
        It is really easy to put off the blog post and writing contest till the last minute, but every thing turns out better if you get it done as fast as you can.
2. The writing contests are easier than they seem.
        The writing contest might seem really scary, but in reality they aren't too hard.
3. Mrs. Robins is always willing to help you.
         If you need help with anything you can go ask Mrs. Robins and she will help you with your worksheet or assignment.
4. Mrs. Robins is really nice!!!
         Mrs. Robins will be the nicest teacher you will ever have. She is always kind and funny.
5. Read!!!
          Read for a little while at home every night. If you fill out your bingo sheet you get to go a super fun party!
6. Honors is fun!!!
           Some of your best friends in 7th grade will be the ones in your Honors class. You know everyone and Mrs. Robins makes the Honors class a lot of fun.
7. Pay attention in class
          If you pay attention and don't talk when Mrs. Robins is talking you can get almost all of your work done in class.
8. Read the blog!!!
          Read the blog every weekend so you will have all the information about what you are doing in class that week.
9. Be Creative!!
          Be creative in all of the work that you do in this class. It will give you a better grade.
10. Keep your grade up!!
          You don't want to get kicked out of the honors class because your grade is low, which will happen if you fall below a B-
